Pendennis House visit

It was my pleasure to visit Pendennis House in Wadebridge yesterday and meet the staff and service users and even partake in a music therapy session. 
Pendennis House is an independent service provider with care and support packages tailored to individual needs.

Children in Need 2018

Today my team and I joined B.R.A.G. as they started their 24-hour litter pickup in Bude for Children in Need. They will be out picking up litter until 3 tomorrow afternoon if you would like to lend your support. They have a Facebook donation page below, they are hoping to raise £1,000.

New support for Cornwall's high streets in Budget

It was fantastic to see funds being allocated towards high streets around the UK. I'm a huge supporter of North Cornwall’s high streets and even though the economy is changing, our town centres still have a huge role to play in our communities.

Loneliness Strategy

I'm pleased to see the Prime Minister launching the first loneliness strategy in the country by instating ‘Social Prescribing’. Loneliness is a real problem in the UK with many people, in particular the elderly, stating that they are lonely or have felt lonely.

Regimental Museum Armistice Day

This summer the Regimental Museum, along with the Bodmin & Wenford Railway and Lanhydrock Estate, hosted an immersive theatre experience, ‘The Trench’, which recreated the battle of Saint Quentin - part of the German Spring Offensive in 1918.

Scott meets with young people from the NCS in Launceston

Scott Mann joined a group of local young people taking part in the National Citizen Service (NCS) earlier this week to see the projects they were working on and to learn more about the work the NCS do in North Cornwall.
