The Camel Estuary has been designated as one of 41 new UK Marine Conservation Zones, marking the most significant expansion of England’s ‘Blue Belt’ of protected areas to date.

•Largest and most sheltered marine inlet on the north Cornwall coast, covering approximately 2 km2.

Tre, Pol & Pen shop visit

I had a brilliant morning at Tre, Pol & Pen visiting the shop and restaurant. The range of local produce really impressed me, and as Chairman of the Dairy APPG in Parliament I'd like to give a shout out to Cornish Moo milk, which was used to make my 'Cornish cream tea' milkshake!

Scott holds jobs fair with Launceston Town Council and Job Centre Plus

On Friday we teamed up with Job Centre Plus and Launceston Town Council to host a jobs fair in Launceston Town Hall where we had over 30 businesses and organisations attend.

It was great to meet all the local businesses and see so many people eager to get involved, a fantastic success.

I've had productive discussions with Defra officials regarding my Bathing Waters Bill which aims to radically reduce sewage pollution in our marine environment.

Scott's speech in Parliament on the School Funding Debate

Was delighted to speak in today's School Funding debate in Parliament. I spoke on behalf of Cornish Headteacher's to raise the issue with lesser funding in North Cornwall as opposed to London.
